DISDAIN
: Lack of respect accompanied by feeling of intense dislike.

_’It is a disdain to have such a traitor in our team’ said Aloi.

RENOVATION
: The act of improving by renewing or restoring.

_ I planned to renovate room C-3-21 to have a bathroom and a walking closet each of our own. Therefore, there’ll be plaster and paint all over the place.

DIVERGENT
: Tending to move apart in different directions.

The light became divergent when it is reflected by the disco ball.

EMPATHY
: Understanding and entering into another’s feelings.

_To be a school counselor, you have to have a sense of empathy towards studets.

SCRUTINIZE

: Examine carefully for accuracy with the intent of verification – a long, hard look to investigate every nook and cranny if they’re correct/authentic.

_ One of the best moments in MJSC BPJ was during the night of inspection. The wardens scrutinized our rooms and bags.
