DAY SIXTY ONE #61
1. CAPTIVATE:
to get attention of, hold
The Mona Lisa captivate me from
breathing for about 30 seconds.
2. INEPT:
not suitable or capable, unqualified.
It
shows how inept the driver was when the driver got lost in the suburbs and got
the boss to arrive late at the meeting.
3. FORBEARANCE:
patience, restraint, toleration.
I was
proud to see my little sister great forbearance for her first day fasting.

4. EVANESCENT:
momentary, fleeting.
I was
evanescently happy for the first few minutes knowing that I got the scholarship.
But then I’ve come to realize that I would be leaving home for years.
5. PILLAGE:
to seize or plunder, especially in war.
The
army pillaged the home across the east coast border of Brazil.
