1.            POTENTATE: one who has great power, a ruler.
               The potentate went down to the village to help the villages whose house was render by flood.

2.         CANNY: shrewd, careful
That canny kid walked slowly to guide the old lady cross the road.

3.         ELEGY: a speech given in honor of a dead person.
He cried so hard giving the elegy, remembering what a great guy his father was.

4.          ABSTAIN: to freely choose not to commit an action.
Everyone in class was appointed to do a task for the class next field trip. However, Polan abstained.

5.            PRECIPICE: the face of a cliff, a steep or overhanging place.
                The murderer tried to make it look like an accident where the body was found in a car which drove of a precipice, but the cops reached there 20 minutes earlier.
