                Yes, they may have had the hegemony, but they were never given the power or priority by the elders.

2.            ABET: to aid, help, encourage.

                That gymnast really have a lithe body, opening the doors for her to go to the final.

4.            DISGRUNTLED: upset, not content.
The kid’s cat got run over by a car. He disgruntled for days and would not eat. 

5.            PANACEA: a remedy for all ills or difficulties.
                There were no panacea found yet for Cancer and Aids.
