DAT THIRTY-THREE #33 MOVIE REVIEW

MOVIE REVIEW  #3 LOVE, ROSIE

adaptation of a bestseller novel :)

I am not the kind who would watch movies more than once, but it turned up that I watched Love, Rosie more than twice. The film managed to draw my attention and my emotions was all pumped up throughout the movie. On a scale, I would rate it 9/10. I love the emotions, storyline, the conflicts, the strength Rosie showed, and mostly all of it. Lily Collins and Sam Claflin were amazing, there were no one who I can think that could take their roll any better. Kudos.
Rosie and Alex have been best friends since they were small. They actually loved each other but made a slight mistake when they went to prom with their crushes instead of going together. Then Rosie accidentally got pregnant, and everything turns out not as they planned. Rosie thought to sacrifice her career for the baby and left Alex going to Boston alone. They went their separates ways, thinking that it is the right thing to do. But no matter how entangled their life were, there are drawn to each other. Perplexed of what they feel and want. Well, it’s love. Do expect that. After 12 year of figuring how all this time they had took their friendship for granted, Rosie finally made a call. Both in the end confess, and is sure to believe that they have a happy ending-to finally be happy together.

As not seen in the summarized story above, what I learnt was: nothing can overcome love. The love I mean is general; a love for a mother, a love for one’s god, a love for a friend, or a cat, an item, a hobby, etc. We can deny, ignore, or overcome it and move on with something else. But love is still there and what differs is to whom or what we channel to and whether it is powerful or not. So, the point is, if you love something, grab hold of it. And it is never too late to turn back. Same goes to our relationship with the Almighty. The saying that ‘all saint has a past and all sinner has a future’ measures how important it is to make use of the current moment we have now wisely and properly; not wasting on something that is well um a waste or deviates from the right path.

So J if you thing you like comedy romance film, give it a shot. It’s just a typical friendship-love movie with some more drama adds on. Get a blanket to cover your eyes at certain scenes k. Kikiki. Take the goods, leave the odds.
