DAY ELEVEN #11

The Quran 93:07 (Surah ad-Dhuha)

Hi, salamun alaikum. I don't usually update my blog at late night but something had just set me off. Expressing to some light projecting screen wont help much. So, I just want to share a Quranic quote which I find helpful. goodnight :)

OSTENTATIOUS
: Intended to attract notice and impress others.

Synonym: brazen, flashy, showy, flamboyant, grandiose, modest, pretentious.

_She wails like a mad gal after hearing her boyfriend’s death probably trying to make ostentatious show of her sorrow.

SUPERFLUOUS
: Adjective; More than is needed, desired, or required ; (unnecessary)

Synonym: surplus, extra, redundant, unnecessary, excessive.

_ I did not accompany them on their date because they opined that a third person would be superfluous. 

 SUBTLE

: Difficult to detect or grasp (hold, grip) by the mind or analyses; not obvious or easily understand.

_ The difference between the two dishes is subtle, but if you ask a professional food taster, they’ll be able to perceive subtle difference of the flavors.

RECONCILIATION
: The reestablishing of cordial (pleasant, friendly) relations after a conflict.

_ I longed for reconciliation with my best friend but there are too many painful memoirs which just made it all impossible.

: The act of getting two things to be compatible with one another.

_For the class performance, Adlin wants me to be a princess but Qhamar wants me to be an evil platypus. So to have a reconciliation of both ideas, I decided to be an evil platypus who disguised into a charming princess.

DEMAGOGUE

: A political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular passion and prejudices (has skills to manipulate emotions & prejudices of the rabble).

_One of the most famous historical demagogues is said to be Adolf Hitler.
